Last Scene - The Reaping
Compare to the Television show, or the interview, in the Capitol
Interview with Katniss and Caesar:
The television show with Caesar Flickerman is much more excitable to the audience in the Capitol than the Reaping was to the audience in District 12.
Caesar shows a lot of sympathy to Katniss regarding her sister and how she volunteered in her place.
Everything is much brighter in the interview with Katniss, compared to when Katniss had volunteered for her sister during the Reaping.
There are many long shots and close ups used during the interview with Katniss and Caesar.

Tribute Parade
The Capitol citizens in the crowd have very extravagant outfits, some that are like head-to-toe costumes.
Each of the districts have outfits that match their district, however, District 12 has an outfit that is unique but also represents them, compared to the others
When Peeta and Katniss hold up their hands, the citizens cheer.
As Katniss and Peeta were shown to the crowd, Katniss had shown her part of being the Girl on Fire, further developing her character and symbolism to the film.

The Three-Finger Salute, and Rue's Death
The three-finger salute is used during the Reaping scene to give hope.
The salute was also used in Thailand after the Hunger Games books, used when they were in rebellion.
Katniss used this salute after Rue died to try give District 11 hope, and this was reflected by the district, followed by a riot by the same district.
The diegetic sound was removed when Katniss was crying.
During the riot, there was very shaky footage and montage showing the situation.
A connection we can make with the Hunger Games and real-life is the BLM riots and protests to suggest empowerment and equality.

Peeta, Katniss and the Nightlock
When the rule for two people of the same District to win the Games was revoked, Peeta and Katniss did not want to choose one or the other, but would rather die instead.
Katniss thought Peeta was going to kill her, so she drew away her bow when she realised he wouldn't.
They were set on killing themselves before the Gamemaster stopped them.

Shooting the Apple
As Katniss was entering the room, there was a medium shot, showing her emotional distance from  the scene.
She was at a lower angle, resembling her vulnerability.
There are a lot of close-ups in the scene, eventually showing her emotion.
No reaction from the people that were monitoring Katniss, because they were talking about a roast pig compared to Katniss' performance.
She is positioned below them because its to show vulnerability, and them taking advantage.
When she shot the apple from the pig's mouth, everyone reacted like they were surprised.
