Potatools! || Biology

In Biology, we've been researching stone tools - except today we were using potatoes instead of rock. From Oldowan tools to the Upper Paleolithic, we see a vast difference in complexity over the course of thousands and thousands of years.

English in 2023 || English

I'm in Year 13.

Not long until I embark on my journey in the real world...

Cute.

Meanwhile, in English, I'm quite looking forward to studying the novel for this year. I don't know what it is, but I enjoy reading and the work we do with it. In turn, I am not looking forward to revising the multitudes of writing or film techniques again...so much information to lodge into my little brain of mine. English isn't my greatest favourite, but it's definitely up there. Biology and DTE are definitely THE favourites, though.

My Progress this Week || Art

 This week I had actually made quite a bit of progress--finally moved onto panel two!

Do Nows for this week || Art

 This week during Art we had to start off with writing our own Do Nows for this week. I wasn't present on Monday so I had to fill it out today :)

Current Paintings So Far || Art

 Currently in Art I haven't finished panel one yet, however, I will do that at home!

I've started on panel two and hope to get that done as soon as possible. 

Do Nows for Week Two, Term Three || Art

During the week, I have been doing some tasks that were assigned involving folio layouts, colour blocking etc. 

FOLIO LAYOUT - MONDAY 1 AUG

I initially thought I was missing one of my paintings, though it was actually on the drying rack. It would usually be below the painting with the roses on the left. 

COLOUR BLOCKING - TUESDAY 2 AUG

I only got two colour-blocked paintings done because I did mainly just focus on one a lot during the lesson--I'm sure you can tell which. I want to aim to get much more done next time.

Folio Layout - Week 10 || Art

Currently, this is where my layout sits as of yet for my folio. I haven't been able to get work done as quickly as I wanted to, which is something I definitely need to work on. My layout includes some of the colour blocking from a couple weeks prior. 

The layout has also changed a little bit from what it was before, with the little snake in the middle having to be swapped out with something compositionally interesting and maybe more fearsome than a cute little snake in the middle of my board.
